Preserving Faith. Honoring a Legacy.

A Sacred Place. A Shared Responsibility.

For over fifty years, the National Shrine of Our Lady of Charity, La Ermita, has stood as a beacon of faith, hope, and identity.

Built by Cuban exiles in the 1960s, it became a place of healing and peace—where prayer replaced uncertainty and faith carried a people forward. Generations have gathered here to pray, give thanks, and find comfort.

For many, it is more than a Shrine—it is home.

An Urgent Moment

Time and the coastal elements of Biscayne Bay have taken a serious toll on the Shrine. Without immediate restoration, we risk losing this sacred place.

In response, we have launched the Restoring Hope Campaign A comprehensive effort to preserve the Shrine:
    • Structural repairs
    • Exterior restoration
    • Safety improvements
    • Ongoing ministry

More than a project—a commitment to a sacred legacy.

Be Part Of This Legacy

Your support is an act of living faith—a love that preserves and builds hope. Together, we can ensure the Shrine remains a place of prayer, healing, and unity.
